Business Administration Degrees

Marian University’s bachelor’s and associate in business administration programs are perfect for working adults looking to earn their degree. Concentrations and courses

As part of our bachelor’s degree program, Marian’s business administration students will earn a minor in psychology and may choose up to three concentrations: management, human resources management, and project management.

Students learn foundational skills for business administration including accounting, marketing, management, and business policy and strategy. Later in the program, they take a more specialized approach with classes that match their concentration. These courses include international business, global marketing, talent management, real estate, web applications development, and project planning and control.

  • Implement a project from start to finish, with an emphasis on project closure 
  • Specify key legal and Constitutional aspects impacting business in the United States
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan
  • Develop a final paper where students determine global expansion based on comparing the United States with another country from the context of business management, international trade and investment, the financial system and ethics and social responsibility
  • Describe and apply varying concepts related to financial management including topics such as shareholder wealth maximation, the time value of money, the cost of capital, capital budgeting, as well as working capital policy
  • Build a realistic plan that links key marketing concepts with attainable promotion opportunities
  • Apply legal concepts to situations faced in the modern workplace including interpretation, application and assessment of the effectiveness of legal compliance
  • Apply strategic management and policy formulation theory to competitive management simulation experiences
  • Demonstrate application of the change process (including assessment, initiation, implementation and evaluation) using a realistic workplace or university level issue
