Faculty research is an important aspect of medical education, both to keep faculty involved in and abreast of medical techniques, diagnosis, and scientific breakthroughs, as well as give students opportunities to explore their passions and interests.
MU-COM currently provides a variety of research opportunities for interested students. In addition, the faculty are actively working to increase and improve research opportunities within COM, as well as through external sources.
Students interested in participating in research have a variety of challenging opportunities available to them, including partnering with faculty researchers, participating in research programs at one of our many partner organizations, or continuing to explore their own research interests.
MU-COM faculty are currently engaged in anatomical, anthropological, bioethical, biomedical, clinical, computational, educational, molecular/cellular, and translational lines of research. Much of the research done by our biomedical science faculty is conducted on campus in our research facilities.
